We start at the old road of carts towards Lareo reservoir. Cross over the dam and go to the east, always next to Akaitz stream. The track turns into a path and enters in a deeper zone of forest. We have the GR12/121 which we continue ascending up to 1170 m of altitude, where we take to the right (North) always among woods and rocky areas, till reaching the top of Putterri.
Descent starts from the same route of raise, but after decreasing little more than 100 m, leave the above mentioned route and take to the right towards the way that takes us up to a point of the road between Lizarrusti and Arbizu. From here, already by road, the starting point in Lizarrusti is a kilometer away.
Appropriate itinerary for heat days as it is realized almost in its entirety between woods. It can be completed in any of 2 senses.
